About the project
The social spot "breaking Pattern" is dedicated to our relationship with clothing, fashion, and particularly fast fashion, calling for a critical reflection on our own consumption behavior.
The two-minute film features rendered fabric simulations accompanied by a monologue that puts the speaker's personal connection to clothing and fashion at the forefront.

Through the lifelike representations of fabrics and the personal conversation, the audience has the opportunity to establish a deeper connection to clothing and realize that clothing is more than a replaceable "disposable product." Instead, the message is conveyed that clothing not only serves as a decorative element but also fulfills an important function by protecting us from environmental influences. The holistic sensory experience of our clothing and the critical reflection of our consumption behavior enable us to break established patterns and develop a new appreciation for clothing, which is crucial given the ongoing climate crisis.
